Rockler Schedule 40 PVC to 4” Adapter for Hose

Lets you connect a 4'' dust hose directly to schedule 40 PVC plumbing pipe.

The large end of this adapter fits around Schedule 40 PVC pipe, while the smaller end fits inside a standard 4'' dust hose. A hose clamp is included for easy connection of the PVC end. The adapter is made from a combination of rubber on the PVC end and hard plastic on the hose end. Look for schedule 40 PVC at your local home center.

Schedule 40 to hose adapters
The 4" version is the only one listed on Rockler's site. The unit is very well made, and works perfectly, BUT I could really use a 3" version, since most of my piping is 3" schedule 40. In fact, a 2" or 2-1/2" version would even be helpful.

Schedule 20 pvc is being phased out of most building codes and is very hard to find. It might be time for fittings manufacturers to follow the rest of the country and make the upgrade to schedule 40,as well...

I have recently purchased a Laguna C-Flux-1 and running PVC across the shop for various drops and this adapter should allow me to downsize from the PVC to the 4 blast gates and flex hoses that I am using at the various drop locations.

Is Schedule 40 pic the green or white pipe? What is the inside diameter of the Schedule 40 fitting?

BEST ANSWER: Use the white Schedule 40 pipe.The green is for Sanitary sewer and might not be thick enough to hold up in the shop.

BEST ANSWER: The inside diameter is31/2inches I used it on a jet ban saw .To fit Rockler wall vacuum works well

BEST ANSWER: Using a 4 inch to 2 1/2 adapter would give you the connection, if your going to use 4 inch pipe on 2 1/2 vacuum for distance I’m not sure of quality of air flow. However many power tools have 21/2 outlet which you buy the adapter to hook them to your 4 inch vacuum system they work great
Will a blast gate fit between the flexible hose and this adapter?

BEST ANSWER: If you want to put a blast gate in the line, you will need to cut a very short piece of hose (~3") and clamp it to the blast gate and this adapter. The blast gate and this adapter have the same diameter hard plastic, so they will not connect to each other directly.
