Works like a champ!
I ordered these bits not having any experience with stile and rail bits and I was pleasantly surprised with how easy they are to use. I did order and use the coping sled for end grain. It was worth every penny.
I was not impressed with the template for configuring the bits. I ended up making my own template. The one I received seemed to be a hair off.
I used the bits in a Ridgid R2200, which is 2 peak HP. I had zero issues with the power of the motor cutting into poplar. I have since upgraded to a Bosch 2.5HP.

Works great on my router table. I do need to make the cross cuts first, did have a little tear out, was able to clean it up. Will know better next time.

I used the Traditional stile and...
I used the Traditional stile and rail bit to make a cabinet for my mother-in-law. It was my first attempt at raised panel doors. The whole set worked like a dream. The only mistake I made was not buying the set up block with the set. I wasted too much time setting up the bits. I learned that the set up blocks are great time savers. I now order one with all my fancy bit orders.

This is my second set of Rail & Stile router bits from Rockler, just a different profile. I found the bits to very accurate and tight fitting once dialed in.

What router specs would you recommend for bits like this? As in how many horsepower? I'm looking to get a router to eventually use bits like these from Rockler. Thanks a lot!

BEST ANSWER: I bought these and have not used them. I have various routers but a 2 1/2 HP should be more than sufficeient.

I want to install glass panels so will I have to just use another bit to remove the back part of the grove ?
BEST ANSWER: No additional bits should be required.
One bit creates a channel for the glass while the other bit creates the mated shape for end to end assembly of the rail.
Using 4 pieces of hard maple I was able to build cabinet doors with glass inserts with just these bits. Each piece was cut to size to account for mating of the stile and rail and depth of each groove. Glass was cut to size to accommodate the final interior dimensions of the dry fit frame.
Good luck.

I have never used cope and stick router bits. My Milwaukee router is 1.75 HP will I be able to use these bits, or do I need a router with more HP? Thanks for your patience
BEST ANSWER: Nick I would recommend 2.5 hp or larger. Also variable speed as most single speed routers develop about 25k rpm. You will have better results if you can bring that down to 14-16k rpm. Happy woodworking!
