Trner's tape
I have used this tape on my lathe only and it works great. I use it to hold 2 to more pieces as I turn a multi piece project with no problems. I have made a few turnings with 2 different woods. I make sure both pieces are flat and use the tape to hold it all together as I turn. Still must be safe and careful but never had anything come apart on the lathe

Double Sided Turner's Tape
I've been using this tape for quite a while and I needed more so I ordered it from Rockler. This is a strong adhesive tape and can be used for many projects. Taping multiple layers of material together and make multiple parts with one cutout and can be used for lathe projects

Using it for holding wood & acrylic pieces for turning, I do not have any movement, and I can remove the tape easily from my project and the mount. Heavy duty and versatile

Turners tape
Using mainly for template routing. Previous reviews indicated hard to remove backing. I found that by scoring the backing lightly with a sharp utility knife; starting 1/8 in down from 1 corner and 1/8 in from i side at a 45 angle then lifting middle of cut with knife tip it peels right off. Also when used to hold blanks together for bandsawing separate immediately when done. the longer the pieces are together the harder to separate. Sticks extremely well on wood, Not as good on hardboard templates.

I plan to use it to attach guides for using the 22627 lock miter bit to cut end grains on boards. I have been unsuccessful at developing fixtures to hold the board for a vertical cut; the boards tweak somewhat as the cut is made, so they don't cut square. I saw this on youtube and figured I'd give it a try.

I use double sided tape for lath work, tape jigs to bottom of router, rather than drill holes and thread the plate, I just use double sided tape on apply to existing router base. I so useful in lieu of screws and having to fill holes etc.

How easy is it to remove the adhesive from the workpiece after you're done?
gr8dane on Jan 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It is quite easy to pull it off so long as you can get it started. DON't jab a screwdriver under it and ruin your
workpiece. The tape is quite stickily. Use another small piece of tape to pull on the tape o your workpiece.
It will stick to it so you can pull up an end. cheers!
What is the thickness of the tape?
Billy B on Dec 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Right off the roll the tape measures .013". When applied and pressed together it will be thinner.

I bought another brand. It was clear and thin like cellophane tape I am looking for what I am used to.a white tape somewhat thicker to you carry such a tape?
A shopper on Jun 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This tape is much thicker and is not clear. It holds strong. I use it to hold down templates for routing signs. Is a bit difficult to remove the backing from either side. I use an exacto knive with a very sharp blade for this.
does it have a foam backing?
A shopper on Aug 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No foam. It's similar to carpet tape but not as gummy.
I am looking for double-sided tape for holding a template to a workpiece while cutting to final size with a flush trim bit in my router. Do you have tape for this purpose?
Greg S on Nov 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Greg, I found the tape to be very strong, should work.
