Rockler 8 oz. Glue Bottle with Glue Roller

This handy glue roller quickly coats wide boards with a neat, even coat of wood glue.
Item #
90% of 100

Just a quick spin with Rockler's Glue Roller is all it takes to cover wide boards neatly, evenly, and with minimal squeeze-out. And the Rockler Glue Roller won't ''hydroplane'' and jam like typical glue rollers. That's because it's ribbed to allow just enough glue flow-through to keep things rolling with minimal resistance. The ribs also help to distribute the glue in a neatly ''raked'' pattern for excellent coverage. Both bottle and roller share the same thread pattern as Titebond's 16 and 32 oz bottles, so you can use the roller with those as well. The removable tip plug keeps the tip from clogging while in storage.

 • Bottle is made of HDPE plastic, which is easy-to-clean and sheds dried glue
 • Glue Roller body and axle are made of polypropylene plastic, and roller is made of thermoplastic rubber—all very easy-to-clean
 • Large tip hole for good flow
 • Includes removable tip plug
 • Ergonomically designed with angled head
 • Tip is easily visible so you can gauge your glue flow visually

Note: Not for use with CA glue.

Rockler Glue Speader
I bought the Rockler Glue Spreader because I was going to glue a lot of surface area. I didn't want to loose and open time. Worked very well. Easy to clean. Yes I would recommend this tool.

Excellent tool for end grain cutting boards and I'm sure a hundred other projects I havent started yet. Eady to clean, and titebond bottles screw right on. Excellent.

Best way to spread wood glue!
I get wood glue to spread more evenly with this ribbed roller than with smooth rollers. The only caveat with this is that it is important to clean off the glue as soon as you are through using it as hardened glue in the grooves is terribly hard to remove!

Love this thing!
I do a ton of cutting boards and table tops so this simple little roller is a god send. It takes a sec to get the hang of correct pressure for dispensing glue while rolling but it spreads glue more evenly and quickly than anything else i have used. Also super easy to clean once it is dry which was a concern when i was first thinking about getting it

I love this glue Applicator. You just squeeze and Roland yet goes on beautifully. The only thing I wish is that they had one that was about half the roller size for Smaller boards. Might be something you want to look into

Time saver
Saves me a lot of time on larger glue ups. Like that it can be screwed directly to a bottle of glue.

I heard rockler is some of the best products to buy and I needed to be able to glue large areas at a time so the roller seemed the most feasible option

Had an older similar one that had a smooth roller and threaded for its own narrow neck glue bottle. This one that allows me to swap to my regular Titebond glue bottles and the grooved spreader will make a big difference.

Here in Phoenix, AZ, where it is dry year round, and hotter that H--- during the summer, I need to work fast when applying glue to both faces when laminating large pieces. Often just a few minutes of open time. Hopefully this will help.
BILLinAZ on Oct 9, 2018
Speedy application with less glue waste.
Example: a bread knife blank … gluing 5 pieces that are 2-1/2" x 16-1/2", face to face … that's 10 faces to spread. Squeezing directly on to the pieces, from the glue bottle can give you too much or too little … you don't know until you spread it (with my finger! before ordering this spreader)

does your 16 oz Glue Bottle has the same thread as the 8oz bottle available with this set?

Rockler 16 oz Glue Bottle with Standard Spout
What is the best way to clean glue from the roller after/between uses? Rinsing with water spray while the glue is still wet is messy but so far seems best. After glue dries on the roller, it's easy enough to peel off, but requires peeling from each rib which is tedious. I want to start each application with a clean roller so that I don't get lumps in my otherwise clean joint.
Robert A on Dec 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The roller can be removed. Just spread apart the roller mount until the roller is free. I recommend disassembling the entire bottle for cleaning. I run warm water over the roller while cleaning with soft plastic bristle brush, such as an auto detailing brush. I also recommend the use of a set of bottle brushes, from large to small, for cleaning the rest of the bottle. Of course, empty the bottle back into you glue bottle before cleaning. Once the glue dries in there, it's almost impossible to get it out. I learned the hard way; I'm on my second bottle. The first one wound up glued tight because I waited too long. Good Luck!
Would this work well with Elmer's Glue for craft projects? Does it release a very thin layer of glue?
Brenda on Nov 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it does lay down a thin layer of glue, I believe it would work with Elmer's Glue since the consistence of standard wood glue is pretty close to Elmer's. Keep in mind you have to work the roller to get that smooth thin layer that is seems you are looking for.
