Dust Right® 4'' Quick Change Handle

Quickly move a single 4'' dust hose from machine to machine (required Tool Ports sold separately), or slip on a variety of optional cleaning attachments.

Our 4" Quick Change Handle is the centerpiece of a simple, affordable dust collection and shop cleanup system. Rather than permanently plumbing each of your power tools for dust, an expensive, space-consuming venture, the Quick Change Handle lets you move a single hose from machine to machine. This approach lets you use a smaller, less expensive dust collector. Since there is no need for permanent rigid ductwork, it's also easier to keep your machines mobile, an essential element of any small shop. When used with stationary tools, the handle fits snugly onto any of our Dust Right Tool Ports (sold separately), which are fastened securely to the stationary tool. When it's time to clean up, the handle also connects to a variety of convenient cleaning accessories (sold separately).

Features:
  • Large ergonomic handle with two sturdy points of connection to the main duct
  • Angled design lessens strain on the hose, and lessens wrist fatigue caused by the weight of the hose
  • Air flow adjustment valve lets you reduce air flow to prevent floor mats and other items from sealing off the opening

Dust Right Handle
This handle is much better than the earlier handles. The design allows you to connect dust collection easier. It appears the handle is better constructed than the earlier ones and the issue with the handke breaking at the joint should be addressed.

better design.....
I had the old "grip" design and the handle sheared off of the tube. This design is much more solid and easier to move from tool to tool

Just what I needed
I need to be able to get equipment out of the garage and my vacuum hose was getting in the way. This worked beautifully with my Saw Stop table saw. It attaches quickly and firmly, but when I need to move it out of the way it releases smoothly and easily. Perfect for the job.

Superior to the original
After having epoxied my original Dust Right handle four times, I finally bit the bullet and bought this one as a replacement.

This handle seems to be engineered much better with double points of contact as opposed to a single point with the original.

It fit (albeit a little tight) all my other Dust Right equipment. So far so good.

Does this only work with Dust Right connectors? It appears to be too big for the connectors currently in my shop and I really don't want to have to replace everything. Am I missing something?
Dru D on Mar 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: According to Rockler, you need to also buy item #25516 (4"), $20 each and you need one for each tool in your shop.
Does Rockler have a downloadable chart showing the true OD and/or ID of every dust collector component they sell?

BEST ANSWER: Best question I've seen in a long time, and sadly no answer from Rockler.
Is there an adapter to go from the 4 inch part of this to the dust right handle? I have the Y fitting on my table saw and want to be able to go from it to the floor sweep kit and that’s about it for now. Don’t want to have to rely on duct tape to make up the gap. The 4” fitting is really 3 7/8 and the dust right is way too big.

Howdy,

I need a quick change handle ... without the handle. Actually, I need at least three. Just a simple hose end that will accept the 4" quick connect tool port. Does such a thing exist?

Thanks,
John

BEST ANSWER: Rockler Dust Right® Quick Connect 4'' Elbow will work also if you need a 90 degree end. I used one under my router table
Does the large end connect directly with the dust right handle? I’m looking to adapt down for smaller hand held tools with no clamps, quick change style.

Am I correct in assuming that this quick fit handle fits snugly over the smaller end of the 4" quick connect hose port....and that the larger end of the 4" quick connect fits over a standard 4" PVC pipe - actual outside diameter of 3 15/16"?
Tony B on Nov 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have the 4 inch Dust Right tool port that has rubber on one end that is 4 inch ID, this fits over the port on table saw and planer and tightens down with a clamp, the other end is hard and the Dust right handle fits snug on this, the 4 inch expandable hose slips over the small end of the handle and tightens wth a clamp.
Looking for 4” diameter tube that fits this handle?
William P on Dec 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Only one I could find was ordering the kit from Rockler.
Does this newer style handle fit and function better or just as well as the older style when connected to the Router Table Dual Port (when connected to the Router Table Dust Collection Bucket)? I'm wondering if the angle of the newer style causes any issues with the hoses staying attached either at the bucket or with the dust movement thru the hose to the vacuum as it seems there would be more slack in the hose with this angled design.
Quiggley on Mar 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have both old and new handles and the new style works just the same as the old version. Not a big fan of the side vent though (I never need it and it can become open when you don't notice).
How do you attach the 4” quick change handle to the 4” hose?
Ellen G on Jan 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The hose simply fits over the handle and a clamp is applied.
I want to connect the 4" dust right handle to my 2.5" ShopVac PVC wand and thus to its various attachments. The ShopVac solid tubing is actually 2.5" OD, so the connector I need has to have a bit larger than 2.5" ID. Can anyone tell me the correct connector to use?
RICHARD S on Feb 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Well I don`t really know what it`s called but Rockler has a adaptor that will work because I have a lot of machines that have 2.5" openings so I know they have a fitting that will work sorry thats the best I can do. ED.
Can this #37825 be used with a Dust Right quick change handle to put a shut off at the inlet (hose end) of the handle to close when not in use? Thank-you in advance!

BEST ANSWER: Yes, I’ve done the same thing. Good luck!
The Quick Change Handle is somewhat loose when attached directly to the table. In the 2nd picture above in the product description, the quick change handle is shown attached to a fitting which is clamped to the outflow port. Which fitting is shown? I'd like to solidify the connection to make sure all suction is going through the table.
