Rockler T-Track Flex-Hold Arm

Holds dust hoses, pneumatic blowers and shop lights in any orientation, at any point along a standard T-track.
Item #

At one point or another, we've all wished we had a third hand around the shop to help hold things when the two we already have are occupied. The T-Track Flex-Hold Arm from Rockler does just that, allowing you to hold and precisely position objects at any point along a length of standard T-track. Use it to attach dust collection hoses, pneumatic blowers for clearing surface dust, work lights and more. With the T-track base, you're free to secure the 18'' snake arm directly in the middle of the table, a capability you don't get with a typical clamp-style base. Use it with our T-track table (#46654), in the accessory track of our router tables, or in the accessory track of our router table fences. With flexibility and articulation like this, the applications are virtually limitless.

  • Easy-grip knob locks the arm into the T-track.
  • Integral keys in the base prevent unintentional rotation.
  • 18'' flexible gooseneck bends to any orientation, but has sufficient stiffness to resist unintentional movement.

T-Track Flex-Hold Arm
Highly recommend this product. It is just shat I needed ad my drill press. It is sturdy and holds the weight of the suction hose with the crevice devise. I love it. Looking for other ways to employ it. Allows me to use both hands on drill press and object while the flex arm holds the suction hose.

I'm looking for something like this that will work in the miter slot on my Ridgid table saw. Would this work, and if not, do you know what would?
Bennett O on Dec 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I just tried it on my delta table saw which has a 3/4” wide miter slot, but it’s a T slot. So I think as long as it’s a T slot, and the T isn’t more than an inch or so wide, you’ll be fine. Alternately, what I sometimes do is use a 1 foot scrap of T track to mount it and then clamp the track to whatever.
Where do I find the dust scoop pictured with it?
Ted K on May 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The scoop is the Wide Nozzle Tool from Rockler Item Number 33646.
Can this be mounted to a drill press table ?
Ron M on Jan 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have T-Tracks on a drill press table and purchased the Flex-Hold Arm figuring that I could attach my 2-1/2" Diameter FlexForm™ Hose (& kit) to it to vacuum away the drill dust. I found that the flexibility of Flex-Hold Arm was not flexible enough to permit placing the clamping end close to the drill; it was pretty stiff. Consequently, I had to return the Arm.
As a work around, I used a flexible arm from a mobile phone holder that mounts to the inside windshield and a couple of 2 ft long cable ties (left over from securing my dust collection ducting) to tie down the hose to parts of my drill press. The open end of the vacuum hose comes from behind the fence, is out of the way and does just fine in removing the dust. It's not as elegant looking as using the Flex-Hold Arm, but it works and keeps my table clear of dust during drilling.
Can this unit be modified to work with a 1/4 inch T- track? I would like to mount it on a rip fence.
Ernest P on Apr 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Ernest P, sounds like a good idea.
I think it would work with a 1/4" T-track with some modification. You will have to file the slides to fit your T-track about 1/16" on each side. The unit comes with a 5/16" T-bolt, you would have to get a 1/4" T-bolt.
I cut my T-track into small sections and mounted them close buy my machines and move this flex arm around my shop. Good luck.

Jim N.
Can it be adapted to use with a clamp down?
Ted K on Jun 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Not without some modification In addition to the turning knob and attachment washer there is a cleat to help guide the gooseneck in a miter slot, so to use with a clamp down you would have to fashion a wooden base for the gooseneck. Actually the supplied washer is to thin to effectively in a miter slot so thanks for the idea. P.S. It does a good job with dust removal on a router table
How much weight will the flex arm support?
Paul F on Jan 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I tied a heavy 18 volt drill driver to mine in a nearly vertical position and it didn't budge. The arm is rigidly built yet is flexible. When first purchased I felt it was too rigid. Over time I have gained an appreciation for the rigidity.
Using the Flex Arm 50581 Helps with the "heavy hose" during use if you have a T-track table (?)

Dust Right FlexiPort Power Tool Hose Kit, 3' to 12' Expandable
BEST ANSWER: The flex arm does work well I do have a T-track table however I have used on a standard table by removing the T-track bolt and just clamping it down.
Why don't you make the arm with a strong magnet. Then I'd buy it for my lathe?
A shopper on May 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have found that the magnet is quite strong and used in a T slot, positioning it and locking it down, holds it strongly in place. I use mine on my compound miter saw that is mounted to a moveable base a little modification to be base ( slightly larger screw hole) allowed me to do this. I really like the rigidity of the arm. Give it some consideration how you might adapt. I think you will find it worth it.

can this be adapted for use in 1/4 t slot?
george j on Mar 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I would think not! the basic part that goes into the slot is 5/16. the unit is relatively heavy and stability my be a problem.
Can this be modified to work with 3/4" T track by replacing the T bolt with a 3/4" sized T-bolt (and knob if the old one won't work)?
Christopher D on Oct 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Possibly. But, you don’t want it. The goose neck is so rigid to be almost impossible to adjust.
