Blind Shelf Support Bulk Pack, 5 Pairs

Item #
94% of 100

Add some decorative flair and wonder to your room with these concealed shelf supports. No visible hardware creates a minimalist look, and grants you a wider range of visual variety and options. The invisible shelf brackets are made of sturdy metal, with alloy steel coupling screws to ensure they maintain tension between the posts and the inserts in the plates. This gives you an impressive capacity of 50 lbs for an 8'' deep shelf up to 34'' long (capacity is higher for shallower shelves). For shelves longer than 34'', simply add additional supports. This package includes five sets/pairs of supports. Each set includes the mating brackets and supports you'll need. You provide the space, the screws and the shelf, then enjoy the added storage and staging space in your living room, bathroom, kitchen, bedroom or office.

  • Mounting screws not included. Shelves longer than 34'' will require more than two supports.

Woodworking Experience:
Super strong, super simple
I was a bit skeptical about these at first. I had previously used welded brackets by a popular vendor on Etsy. The I-Semble product worked wonderfully! I used a Doweling Jig to guide the HSS Brad Point Drill Bit. Mounting the shelves couldn't have easier. The shelves for my client (photos attached) are 51" long (3 brackets) with a 45 degree angle on the left end to match the cabinet below and adjacent wall.

Woodworking Experience:
Brackets were great but attaching them to metal studs not so great. Maybe if they were attached with a molly it would have been better. It would be ok if only light items were on the shelf but once you added a little weight, the shelves sagged.

Use a drill jig
Drillmate drill jig or something similar is virtually necessary to drill the needed 5" holes perpendicular to the edge.

Overall it was a great experience.
These are some of the best shelf supports I have ever seen. Although I paid extra to have it shipped in 3 days, it still took a couple of weeks. I am not pleased with the shipping and would like a refund for the extra money I used to get it by Xmas.

I like the look
They are nice, but you have to have the right tools, driling a five inch hole straight in the board is not easy, bought a portable drill , drill bit is 11" long

Strong, Great Quality for the Price.
These are a very simple, yet strong design. They work well, but as is the case with many gadgets like these, it is assumed they are being installed on a perfectly flat, plumb, and coplanar surface. We all know this kind of wall is a unicorn.

Keep this in mind when choosing your location. If your wall is bowed substantially, the brackets will not be parallel to one another when coming off the wall. This can make it very difficult for the bracket rods to seat all the way into the shelf holes.
If your wall is not plumb, the brackets won't be level coming out from the wall.

Fortunately, the brackets mount with 2 screws. By tightening and loosening the left/right screws, you can sort of fine tune the direction in which the brackets come out from the wall.

You can tune the levelness of the brackets by shimming behind the top or bottom of the bracket. It takes very little. A business card is enough to push it up or down to level.

You may also have to scribe cut the back of your shelf to get it to sit tight against the wall, but this is the case with any mounting bracket.

Great reviews. Trust Rockler to sell a good quality product.
Mike on Jun 24, 2019
I selected this hardware rather than an alternate selection because the mounting holes were closer together and I supposed it would be easier to hit a stud with both holes rather than needing to angle my drill. Of course, holes closer together might impinge on strength, but I think it will be okay.

Do you sell any hardware that would support a 12" depth floating shelf?
Sirena B on Jan 13, 2018

Think in would be able to get by with a 10in. deep shelf?
Ancel Woodworks on Jan 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I don't see why you couldn't but keep in mind when doing so you will loose some of the overall weight limit. As long as you keep most of the weight closer to the wall I think you will be OK and you could also just add extra supports so that you had them every 16" on center into the wall studs which would give you more pins sticking out and this would help with the overall amount of combined weight.
Can toggle bolts be used if a stud can’t be reached on both sides?
CJ on Apr 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I only installed into studs, so I am not able to advise. I would imagine installing at least one into a stud would be possible, and because they are invisible, there is no need to evenly space.
What are the dimensions of the piece that is screwed to the wall? I have plaster / adobe walls and will need to use anchors... Suggestions?
Skipper B on Sep 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: On mine, the rectangular piece measure 1 1/2” by 15/16”. The holes are spaced around 1/2” apart
