Perfect lift
Above-the-table leveling screws make getting the plate flush with the table MUCH easier than my original under-the-table Bench Dog screws. The magnetic insert rings are a dream come true, and the five sizes help keep minimal clearance between the bit and ring. And the lift itself is excellent.

Superior Product
Besides the exact fit to the Rockler Router Top, the Incra Mast-R-Lift-R engineering is superb. Smooth operation and a lock mechanism to hold router bit from slipping makes this lift a superior product - Plus one of the few Lift’s offered by Rockler to work with Makita.

Excellent router lift
Replaced my router lift with the Incra Mast-R-Lift. It fits the Bench Dog cast iron table very well. The lift is smooth operating. The magnets hold the inserts securely and very flush with the table top.

Great Lift - you won't go wrong
I have another Incra lift fitted into a Kreg table that I really liked. Bought this one for the Bench Dog Cast Iron Router table attached to my table saw. I installed a Bosch 1617 router and the fitting process was very easy. The plate is very thick and solid and the magnetic plates are much better than plastic ones.

Best router table lift found after a lot of research.
Key aspect about a router table lift is it being robust. That's what the Incra lift provides. And it's simple to install and you can adjust it as needed as it's designed to fit a wide number of routers and tables. Wish i had made this investment years ago. Setup for routing is a breeze. If you're considering investing in a lift, don't opt for the bargain if you have a choice. Lesser priced lifts come with some limitations and aren't built like the Incra unit.

the lift seems to be sitting proud off of the (Rockler) table, even before the leveling screws are used.... Any advice?
BillParsons on Nov 12, 2015

I have a Porter Cable Model 7539, will this lift work with it?
Lloyd M on Nov 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I do tech work for Incra: Sorry, the 7539 WILL NOT work in this router lift. On the PC 7539 & 7538, as with other traditional plunge routers, the motor is integrated into the plunge base and can't be removed for use elsewhere. The 7539 does not use the cylindrical motor housing shown in the photo of the 7518 motor above, an the confusion among answers stems from the fixed base and plunge routers having the same guts and similar top caps.
I have my own custom built router table with plywood router top,but soon to be replacing it with a thicker top. Am I able to to cut my own opening for this router lift?? It won't be in my budget to buy a commercial router table top and stand.
Sam M on Aug 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes! I have an older router table top and the opening was to small, and not deep enough for the Mast-R-Lift II. I clamped 4 boards onto the table and routered a new opening a touch deeper than the thickness of the Mast-R-Lift II, and it fit perfectly. You have adjusting screws to get the height just level with the table. I love it.

Hope this helps.

an you tell me what table needs to be purchased to fit this router lift "Incra Master Lift II Manual", buying from Rockler I was told that it fitted their standard size but I now see that it is much bigger and thicker, can you give me the details as what is the reference to purchase this table to fit this lift?
Trevor on Jul 7, 2018

I have a router table extension for my table saw. the opening is 9" x 12" , will this work ?
gobob on Apr 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Incra sells a standard Mast-r-lift II that fits "standard" 9" router plate holes. There's no reason you would buy the "rockler" version unless you needed it for one of rockler's nonstandard router tables. If you are building your own, or own a different brand's table, just buy the standard 9" mast-r-lift. Rockler might even sell it.
Looking at the pic, the plate doesn't appear to have any hold down screws. I plan to drop it in my Benchdog table saw wing. Is it just sitting in position with nothing more than the snugger underneath the table?
Blair C on Feb 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it just sit in table with no hold down screws. I made my own router table top and it is recessed into the table , but it does have adjusting screws on top to adjust to flush with table top
Will the Incra Mast-R-lift-II work on a Kreg router table?
K K on Nov 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I do not know because I do not have a Kreg router table. I would expect the dimensions for the opening in the Kreg router to be available from Kreg via the internet.

I do know that the Rockler version of the Mast-R -Lift II is smaller than the openings in the Woodpecker and the Jessem tables.
I want to install the lift in a wing of my table saw. What problems will I have if I get sawdust in the various openings (as I surely will) for the adjustment crank and the throat plates? I don't see any way to close them off when not in use.
Chris R on Jun 17, 2016

I have a router table wing for my table saw and have not had an issue with this. If saw dust gets in the crank you can just vacuum it out, and my lift came with a throat plate with no hole cut in it to use when not routing. If saw dust is a problem you could just put a piece of clear packing tape over those areas and remove it when needed.

I have a Craftsman 14 amp Fixed/Plunge Base Router Model # 27680. Will this router fit the Incra Mast-R-Lift II?
Chris A on Nov 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I would check with the manufacturer to be sure. Although I can't tell you if your specific router fits the Incra Lift I can say without a doubt that it's a great lift, saves me time and is very accurate. The price scared me at first and I had reservations but you get what you pay for and I'm sure this will be the last lift I'll need. Well worth it. Glad I made the decision to buy. Good luck.
Is your router lift compatible with Ryobi RE-600 Router and Rockler table?
John T on Oct 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The incra lift sold at Rockler is compatible with Rockler tables, if you buy it elsewhere it probably won't fit the 8.25" opening Rockler tables have. That router you have isn't on the compatible router list but you may still be able to move the blocks on the mount to a position to fit that router size.
Witch Router Lift and Table is Compatible with the Makita RF1101 2-1/4-Horsepower Variable Speed Router ?
Bacar D on Jul 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: incra's website says you can use your Makita in the Mast-r-lift II lift. You can use just about any table rockler offers with that lift. Just make sure if you order the lift from Rockler you get a table from Rockler also or be sure your table can use a 8.25" x 11.75" size plate/lift. The Incra Rockler sells is specially sized for Rockler.
If the hole in the spacer ring is smaller ( 3/8 dia.) than the nut on the spindle chuck, how can you loosen the spindle nut above the table?
A shopper on Jul 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The hole is about 3 1/2" not 3/8". I think you are looking at the spacer ring with the smallest opening. To change a bit, you remove the spacer ring which is held in place by the magnets. After changing the bit, you replace the spacer ring.
I have a Skil Fixed Base Router 1817, and I was wondering if this router lift would work with my router?
Toolman_01 on Aug 25, 2017

What Rockler table top will accommodate this without modification of any kind? It seems some folks have had to modify their Rockler table top because of the 3/8" plate thickness. I would like to order the suggested "package" , but want to avoid reworking a new top.
Scott E on May 31, 2016
BEST ANSWER: most of the rockler tables are the same as the bench dog full size table. I have the phenolic table, no fitment issues ( of course you have to level the base, super easy) I now wish I ordered the cast iron table, just a thought. The base has an incra name on it, but my was made in canada, by a super company. The incra name was put on it. it is a world class lift (my opinion only) I have had no problems, and i did not have to do any modifications at all.
is the craftsman model listed 17540 as compatible with this lift the same as 315.175040?
Dennis G on Mar 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'm a big fan of craftsman tools, but I could not find a Craftsman to fit this Lift. So I bought the delta router and I'm very satisfied. You will love this Incra Mast-R-Life II. The lock, adjustment, and clamping system is all very fine tuned. It works perfect, I don't think I would buy anything else after buying this router lift.

Frank on Nov 20, 2015

Will my Craftsman model 320.2767 router motor fit this Incra lift?
Bruce M on Aug 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This lift will accommodate routers with motor housing diameters of 4.2" and 3 1/2".
The answer may be really obvious - just not to me. How do you zero the height adjustment? It seems you should be able to load a bit, adjust the height so the bit tip is flush with the plate, then set the adjustment dial to zero, and finally use the height adjustment to raise the bit to exactly the height desired. Am I missing something?
Greg R on Aug 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Use a adjustable speed square you trust for all heights.
Will this lift fit in a SawStop inline router extension (part number RT-TGP)? The opening is a supposedly standard 11-3/4 x 9-1/4 inches in a cast iron table.
Philip B on Jul 27, 2018
