Bushings for Slimline Pen Kits

A complete set of bushings for the Slimline Pen and Pencil Kits (sold separately).
Item #
43546
Rating:
94% of 100

The Slimline pen bushings are precisely machined to match the diameters of your pen blanks, allowing you to achieve the smooth, perfectly flush seams so valued in a top quality hand-turned pen. Simply turn your pen blanks to match the bushing diameters, leaving a bit of extra material to allow for sanding. Made of steel that is hard enough for excellent durability, yet soft enough to prevent damage to your turning tools.

Cheap and accurate for any experience level
They work as designed. After 40 pens or so with sloppy turning at the beginning I had to replace them. But they didn't damage my tools so they did exactly as they are advertised.

You can never have too many bushings. Having new ones that are the exact value of the outside diameter is crucial when done turning and ready to assemble the parts. If the bushings are "worn down" from sanding the wood prior to finishing, then the parts will not fit precisely when press-fit together.
