SawStop 10'' Jobsite Saw PRO

SawStop's ingenious safety brake in a compact, foldable, portable table saw—the perfect solution for small shops!

Item #
66891
Rating:
100% of 100

Now featuring dual dust ports, a bigger table and a new high/low fence feature, the SawStop Jobsite Saw PRO packs all of the safety of SawStop's revolutionary blade brake into a compact, portable table saw. Easily stowed against the wall when not in use, it makes an excellent table saw for small garage shops where a compact footprint and easy portability are essential. But despite its compact size, it is capable of ripping a 4' sheet of plywood in half. It features a pedal-actuated folding stand—just step on the pedal and it unfolds from a compact vertical storage position to cutting mode. In transport mode, the stand becomes a dolly with 8'' wheels that allow you to easily roll it across the shop, or up ramps and staircases. The Jobsite Saw PRO comes standard with a dust port in the blade guard, meaning you get incredibly efficient dust collection both above and below the blade. A larger table with 2'' of additional depth means more stability, and the new low fence clips on without tools to allow cutting of thin materials. The cleverly-designed table extension rides on rails that slide out for a maximum rip cut of 25-1/2'' right of the blade, while the smooth-sliding T-square fence ensures precise cuts and excellent parallelism with the blade. Of course, and perhaps best of all, the SawStop safety brake will stop the blade immediately on contact with skin.

Features:

  • More Efficient Dust Collection: Dust ports comes standard, both in the blade guard and below the blade
  • More Stability: A larger table with 2'' of additional depth for less tipping of materials
  • Rip Thin Materials: New low fence attaches without tools to allow cutting of thin stock
  • SawStop Safety Brake: Brings the blade to a halt almost instantly on contact with skin
  • One-Turn Blade Elevation: Other saws require over 25 turns to raise or lower the blade—with the Jobsite Saw, it's accomplished with a single turn
  • Quick-Tilt Blade Angle: Tilt the blade quickly and easily to your desired angle in 1° increments
  • Micro Adjust Blade Angle: Fine tune your tilt with the infinitely-adjustable micro adjust
  • T-Style Fence with ErgoLock: Jobsite T-Glide Fence slides smoothly and locks firm with the innovative ErgoLock. T-style design minimizes deflection to increase accuracy. Extend the OnDemand Shelf for support when needed
  • Fence Storage Holster: Side brackets offer convenient storage for the fence and cord
  • Pedal-Activated Folding Stand: Simply push the pedal to release and fold the cart for travel
  • Large Wheels: 8'' wheels roll smoothly across the shop or across uneven jobsite terrain
  • Control Box: Features the largest Start/Stop paddle in the category and lights to communicate system status. Use the control box to bypass the safety system to test for and/or cut conductive materials
  • Tool-Free Zero-Clearance Insert: Quickly releases with no need for tools
  • Accessory Storage Drawer: Keep your accessories—your micro guard, riving knife, miter gauge and more—protected and ready at hand with the onboard storage drawer
  • Table Extension Clamp: Locks and unlocks easily, allowing you to quickly extend the table to a full 25-1/2'' rip capacity!

It was really easy to get it unpacked... very easy to move around the garage ... need to get a lot move comfortable with the technology in the safety brake. Some nice fine adjustments for getting a nice straight cut.

the bomb
well built and a very good piece of equipment I have not tested first hand (pup intended) for the safety feature of stopping on contact with conducting material such as myself. Portable too!

Amazing saw!
Due to lack of space and a dedicated shop, this seemed to be my best option. I am not disappointed in the least and fully satisfied. The micro adjust on the blade angle is incredible. This saw needed no tuning right out of the box. Perfectly square.

If i had to choose One thing to nit pick over, it would be the fence. Making minute adjustments can be difficult at times. The fence feels like there's excessive "play" but it hasn't caused any problems. It locks in nicely once set.

OK, I am just a hobbist at this, but the SawStop was the best investment I have made thus far. I had been using a small, cheap saw from one of the big box stores. Could never depend on the fence staying put from one cut to the next and trying to get the blade squared was a never ending battle. The SawStop was totally square and ready out of the box. If you are on the fence, pull the trigger and get it! You won't regret your decision. Oh, and the fact that you get to keep your fingers is another plus...

Excellent tool
Comes with minimal assembly and clear detailed instructions. Fence is stable and accurate. Cutting 3/4 inch plywood accurate and steady. Platform is steady. Levers, clamps, and switches easy to use, particularly the on/off sequence. Status lights are helpful.

Will the incra miter gauge fit this saw?
Charles on Sep 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Charles: Thank you for your interest in our Jobsite PRO saw. In response, the saw has industry standard miter slots. We don't test aftermarket products on our saws, so I don't know if the Incra miter gauge will fit the slot. You might want to reach out to Incra to get the dimensions of it. You can also take your Incra Miter Gauge into a local Rockler store to test the fit in the Jobsite PRO Saw.

How is the overall dust collection performance on this saw (top and bottom) compared to the contractor saw with the larger 4” port on bottom especially?
Marc S on Oct 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Marc S: Thank you for your interest in our Jobsite PRO saw. To answer your question, we haven't compared the dust collection on these 2 saws side-by-side, as they both are open body style saws, so we aren't able to discern how much dust can escape during the collection process.

One big advantage with our Contractor Saw is with the 36" or 52" T-Glide fence/rails assembly you can attach our Overarm Dust Collection to the back rails, but keep in mind you will have to upgrade your standard blade guard to the Dust Collection Blade Guard ($139) to make this system work.
