February 07, 2023Working in a small shop with little to no wall space can be a challenge. This project solves that challenge by mounting a Dust Right Wall-Mount Dust Collector 1250cfm on a stand with casters. This is typically used as a stationary dust collector, but this cart makes it mobile. This cart can be built with one sheet of plywood and a few 2x4’s in just a few hours! Categories: Woodworking ProjectsJanuary 24, 2023I like working and eating while sitting on my sofa, but I don’t have a stable table surface that slide up close for my computer or food. So, making a solid and stable sofa table (you could also call it a TV tray) has been on my project list for a long time. This table features two support legs on opposite side from the sofa, so that the bottom supports can slide under a sofa or chair and the tabletop can slide over the cushions. I used Rockler Heavy-Duty Cross Dowels and Bolts to make a rock solid connection between the table legs and stretchers. These fasteners are easy to install with the Rockler Heavy-Duty Cross Dowel Drilling Jig.Project design and plan by Alex from Bevelish Creations.Read more

Categories: Woodworking ProjectsJanuary 16, 2023Rockler has designed several woodworking jigs that make it safe and easy to complete common woodworking actions, such as making miter cuts, making cross cuts, or milling joinery. But sometimes you need to make a special jig for a specific woodworking task. Rockler Universal T-track and accessories can help make these jigs adjustable and more versatile. The Universal T-track features a unique "stacked" T-slot that accepts both 5/16" T-bolts and 1/4" T-bolts, as well as 1/4" Hex-bolts. The T-tracks are available in 2 ft, 3 ft, or 4 ft lengths. The free jig plans featured in this post are examples of the many ways you can incorporate t-track in your jigs. You may find these jigs useful for your projects or they may be the inspiration for your unique jig design.Read more

January 10, 2023Learn how to measure, cut, and install window and door trim. The new Rockler Trim Gauge makes it easier to measure and cut window and door trim molding to the perfect lengths. Use the Trim Gauge to mark consistent and clear reveal lines on the jamb and casings. Integral rare-earth magnets and hook slots hold your tape firmly in the Trim Gauge while measuring. Attach the Trim Gauge to the window frame to hold the end of the tape and measure the length of short or long windows. Then use the gauge to transfer that measurement to the trim molding.Read more
